If you’ve managed to lose you’re save file Yacht Club will be happy to send you a code so you can skip ahead to Plague Knight’s adventure and challenge modes. Oh and you’ll have to clear the original Shovel Knight in order to access the new content. Don’t forget about the Shovel Knight amiibo that’s coming very soon and adds new features to the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game. If all that’s not enough there’s even new bosses, areas and maybe even a chance to find romance, although figuring out why someone would date a person named Plague is beyond me.Ī physical retail release of Shovel Knight is coming this October and will be bundled with Plague of Shadows. There will be a new crafting system added to the game that allows players to craft new equipment and power-ups using alchemy. What will you be doing in Plague of Shadows? Well you’ll be joining Plague Knight as he double jumps and uses alchemy to overthrow the Order of No Quarter.
That means PC, Wii U, 3DS, PS3, PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One copies of the game will all receive the update.

Out with the shovels and in with the potions, this September 17 th Plague of Shadows will be coming as a free update to all Shovel Knight games.
